 A New York City native, Dr. Epstein grew up on Long Island, the younger of two children. The son of a professional musician and an elementary school teacher, he is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, and received his dental degree at the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry in 1980. Dr. Epstein's sister is a talented artist.
Prior to establishing the Bay Harbor Islands practice, Dr. Epstein completed hundreds of hours of instruction in post graduate dental studies, with an emphasis on cosmetics. He continues to remain on the cutting edge of cosmetic techniques.
In his spare time, Dr. Epstein enjoys bicycling, (he completed the 275 mile Red Ribbon Ride from Orlando to Miami in 1999), spinning, design, construction, gardening and cooking.
